Ideally, I would like to find one person interested in both the social media role and the personal assisting role; however, I am open to hiring these as two separate positions as well. SOCIAL MEDIA/PERSONAL ASSISTANT - 20 HOURS PER WEEK WITH POTENTIAL TO GO FULL TIME. PAID HOURLY.

ABOUT THIS JOB: Seeking an extremely organized and creative social media and personal assistant for a part-time job with growth potential to full time. The employee will help run and manage multiple social media channels across two different businesses as well as assist with personal and home tasks. The job is flexible but must be able to be in person for a minimum of 2-3 partial days per week. Must be comfortable working at home, in The Studio, and on location.

Position requires:

  • Knowledge of social media (Instagram, Reels, and Tik Tok) including trends, strategy, and marketing

  • Strong organizational skills

Social Media Responsibilities include:

  • Creating content and managing social media channels for 2 businesses. Includes Instagram stories, Reels, and Tik Tok creation, scheduling, posting, and interacting on social media.

  • Filming and editing video content

  • Content ideation for Instagram, Tik Tok, and blog.

  • Physical organization including unboxing, returns managing inventory, keeping space organized and tidy, etc.

  • Infrequent errands

  • Dedication to boosting brand awareness and increasing social media presence.

  • Assist in writing blog content and assist with photo/video shoots and events.

  • Administrative and operational duties.

  • Preparing spreadsheets and other organizational tools.

  • Various other tasks

  • Must love dogs (Ali has two dogs who are always around)

Personal Assistant Responsibilities include:

  • Listing clothing on Grailed, Poshmark, eBay, etc., and managing shipments

  • Selling home goods on FB marketplace

  • Organization of all home spaces including inventory and labeling

  • Home maintenance supervision - making appointments and attending them

  • Opening packages, organizing, managing shipping and returns

  • Occasional errands - grocery shopping, car wash

  • Occasional dog care

Qualifications:

  • Well-versed in social media

  • Understands and pays attention to TikTok trends

  • Experience (ideal but not required) in videography, photography & editing

  • Passion for creativity

  • Highly motivated, self-directed, positive, creative, energetic, ambitious, and driven.

  • Flexible and comfortable multitasking, working individually and as part of a team.

  • Able to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Dedication to boosting brand awareness and increasing social media presence.

  • Ideal skills for the position but not required:

    • Photography, videography, editing

    • Knowledge of Lightroom and Photoshop

    • Graphic design

    • Basic web design knowledge

You will gain experience in a variety of areas and exposure to every aspect of running multiple small businesses. You will be immersed in the photography and fashion industry in Chicago, and when possible, you will be included in attending industry events. I got my start in the fashion industry in Chicago interning for a fashion blogger while I was a student at Columbia College Chicago and afterwards, personally assisted another woman in the industry. The connections I made in these positions have helped me tremendously in growing my businesses. The goal is for this internship to do the same for you.
