This bedroom has been a long time coming, and while we still have some projects we want to tackle in here, we were so excited to finally share our primary bedroom with you. We knew we wanted our bedroom to feel super homey, cozy, and comfortable while still maintaining a warm and neutral ambiance. We worked with Kim Domanski at Arhaus, who also designed our living room, and she absolutely nailed this space. The blending of textures in warm neutral colors gives us the exact vibe we were hoping for. My style tends to lean a little more toward antique inspiration, while Sam's style leans more toward mid-century modern, and I think Kim tied in both those styles in a beautiful way.

We have a small hallway that serves as the perfect entrance to the room, opening up with high ceilings. You are welcomed with the coziest layered rugs under your feet, a luxe bed+bench combo, and, of course, the perfect reading nook. No matter how beautiful a bedroom may look, comfort is key. When we started planning for this space, we actually didn’t know that Arhaus has bedding, but boy are we glad we found out! Our bed is a king-sized Lennon bed - the boucle fabric is stocked, not custom, and SO perfect. We opted for their Italian Linen Hemstitch Duvet and the French-Seam Linen Quilt and Shams, and WOW. The search for the perfect linen is over. These look absolutely gorgeous and are the coziest pieces of bedding we have ever had.

It took a minute for us to agree on the other pieces of furniture. The one thing we both immediately fell in love with was the Tilton Bench. The subtle pattern of the cowhide amongst mostly other solid colors was the perfect touch. You can actually customize this bench as well to find a hide color that matches with your room. It, of course, won’t always be exact because they are natural hides, but for example, if you want a lighter one vs. a darker one, Arhaus can help source the perfect one for your space. My parents actually have an ivory solid hide on their Tilton bench and it’s GORG. I linked the ottoman below for you as well because if you have a large enough living space, this would be an amazing ottoman!!

Once we figured out the right path for the rest of the furniture, we were and still are absolutely thrilled with our choice. The Finnley collection brings in that hint of modernity we were looking for and works perfectly with the vibe of the space. I’ve always been a sucker for the Amelie mirror; we tried to incorporate the floor mirror version into our original living room design, and when that didn’t work, we decided to bring in the Amelie Dresser mirror into the primary bedroom, and that was the golden ticket. We styled the Finnley dresser with the Amelie mirror along with some of our favorite books, some antique pieces, vintage art, and family heirlooms. This spot is really the heart of the room.

Our journey to create the perfect sanctuary in our primary bedroom has been nothing short of a dream.
