7 Day Portugal Itinerary

I am so excited to share with you all that tonight I leave for one of my big bucket-list destinations…Portugal! I few months back, I was approached by KLM Airlines to partner with them to create content. Since then, we have been planning this trip that I leave on TODAY and I am SO SO excited! They have already been an incredible brand partner and I am so honored that they chose me to work with to create some fabulous travel content! The only requirement for this project was that we had to fly through Amsterdam and then I was able to choose any European destination that I wanted to create content in! I’ve been dying to visit the colorful country of Portugal, so the decision was made pretty easily! On the way home, we are spending two days in Amsterdam as well. Amsterdam is one of my very favorite cities and I can’t wait to go back!
We will be spending 7 days in in Portugal and visiting a bunch of different cities to experience as much of the country and culture as we possibly can! There is SO much to see in Portugal and surely, you need more than 7 days to see it all. So, we did a ton of research to decide which cities and towns we wanted to visit. Below is the decided upon itinerary! Ya’ll… I can not wait to share these places with you. So much charm, it’s ridiculous!
7 Day Portugal Itinerary
Sep. 20: Chicago To Lisbon on KLM.
Day 1, Sep 21: Land in Lisbon. Spend the day and night in Lisbon
Day 2, Sep. 22: Take the train from Rossio Station to Sintra. Spend the day in Sintra touring the castles. Train back to Lisbon for dinner. Spend night two in Lisbon.
Day 3, Sep. 23: Rent a car in Lisbon and drive to Cascais in the afternoon. Explore the town day 3 and spend one night.
Day 4, Sep. 24: Spend the morning in Cascais and drive to Ericeria in the afternoon. Spend the day exploring, maybe take surf lesson, hangout on beach, relax and eat!
Day 5, Sep. 25: Spend morning in Ericeria and drive to Porto in the afternoon. Return rental car upon arrival. Spend the evening exploring Porto and find a great dinner spot!
Day 6, Sep. 26: Explore Porto all day! Drink some good wine!
Day 7, Sep. 27: Fly from Porto to Amsterdam on KLM.
