All Dolled Up For A Great Cause

Last weekend, I went home to Madison for Rosh Hashanah, a dear family friend's wedding and an amazing charity gala. You all know how I love to get dressed up… and when it’s to raise money for an amazing cause and I get to spend a night with my best friends, it’s a win win win win win! Finding an outfit for any black tie occasion can be tough…

Last year, I discovered Rachel Allan and all that difficulty slipped away! Rachel Allan is now one of my my go-to brands for super dressy occasions. I love how they take simple, classic silhouettes and add a unique, fun, contemporary little twist. I wore a gorgeous Rachel Allan gown last Winter for Chicago’s fabulous annual Snowball fundraiser. The burgundy gown had a gorgeous open back with beaded fringe. I just loved its edgy elegance (see that dress HERE). Last week I donned THIS spectacular two piece gown from Rachel Allan’s collection that launched yesterday. I was immediately drawn to this gown when I saw it. I loved the idea of a long skirt and long sleeve top with just hints of skin showing. The open back really gives this two piece some oomph and is such an exquisite and unexpected detail. If you look close it also has beautifully intricate beading throughout. I felt amazing in this two piece gown. It was the perfect choice for the Gio's Garden gala.

I styled THIS gorgeous two piece gown with a simple makeup look... A little extra bronzer, a cat eye and a dark lip. I went for a messy low bun to help highlight the gown and added a large diamond hoop earring by Just The 2 Of Us Jewelry for an extra pop! The dress didn't need much extra, it really speaks for itself!

Gio’s Garden is a non profit organization in my hometown of Middleton, Wisconsin. Their mission is to help strengthen families who have children with special needs. They provide services such as a respite care facility, therapy, advocacy and social work or support. They provide these services to families who have disabled children from birth to age six. The most unbelievable part? All services are completely free. This organization helps save families, save marriages and helps children who may otherwise never be able to receive the care that they need. They have made a dramatic impact to the community and are continuing to grow at an amazing rate.

Over $130,000 dollars was raised at the gala last Saturday to directly help the kids and families who attend Gio’s Garden. Pretty amazing to see how much good can result when a community stands together. My Rachel Allan gown was a beautiful dress perfectly matched with a beautiful cause that I was so proud to be a part of. You can find more information about Gio’s Garden HERE
