Summer Statement Top
Although I wish every single summer day was blazing hot and that you could go super casual to work and events... Unfortunately some days we can't get away with our favorite cut off jeans shorts and a white tank. Cue in the perfect statement top for summer.
This Caroline Constas top is easy to dress up (pair it with a simple black flared skirt and black heeled sandals or on a cooler day, black tailored trousers and a block heel) or dress down (pair it with jeans and flats or even cut offs and white sneakers for a fun super casual look). I decided to meet somewhere in the middle. I had to be dressed for two different events and I didn't want to be too overdressed but also wanted to be dressed up enough...
I opted to pair this top with a slightly distressed pair of jeans, a super funky heel (these just got marked down to 40% off) and a classic bag. I felt comfortable at both events and also at lunch in between. I think an off the shoulder top is a fun way to add a little edge to the basic jeans and a blouse look (don't get me wrong I love that look too, classic is never wrong). Plus, I've been loving the off the shoulder trend even more since I chopped my hair last week at Lumination Salon! It's the perfect way to show off that summer cut!
