My Bathroom Remodel Part I

bathroom remodel

Today, I started the demo on my long awaited BATHROOM REMODEL! It’s my first major home construction project and I’m SO excited and also pretty darn nervous! I’m thrilled to be working with an amazing team of people at The Tile Shop who helped me pick the most beautiful tile to fit my aesthetic (see the mood board I created to show them below)!

I searched high and low to find the absolute perfect pieces to make my dream bathroom come to life! I wanted it to be clean, modern and simple yet elegant and fun! I’m sticking to mostly white and brass with some gray accents! At the end of this post is everything I have picked out so you can get an idea of how it’s going to look! Of course, I also linked everything so you can easily find it if you’re interested! My bathroom is very nice right now but I’m SO excited to be making it my style and a style that fits the rest of my space. This is what it currently looks like:

One thing that was super important to me was to improve the lighting in here to make it the perfect space to get ready and of course, to take photos and film tutorials for ya’ll! I’m going to use all GE natural light balanced bulbs to hopefully achieve that and I’m so excited to see that change in here!

I have used the same contractor for all of my home projects since I moved into my place almost exactly 2 years ago! His name is John Smith, he works on his own and does a GREAT job. I totally trust him and he’s quite a character and fun and easy to be around which is nice for someone who’s in your house a lot during these projects. HA! If you need someone in Chicago I would definitely recommend him. His email is: smitty3053@gmail.com. If you follow me on Instagram I’m sure you’ll meet him there during this process! I’m also sharing an in depth look at what’s going on day by day on IG stories so make sure to follow along!!!
