White Jeans From Summer to Winter

They say no white after Labor Day… I say, NO WAY! That’s one rule that I’m going to smash! In my opinion, white is such a simple, elegant color and can be worn year round in any climate. I wanted to style two different looks to show how easy it can be to take your white jeans from summer to winter and everywhere in between! I recently picked up this pair of white, cropped flares from Twigs, the best store in Madison (there’s one in Milwaukee too), and I’ve been living in them! I wore them in Miami and put together a very simple look… sometimes, simple is the best way to go! I paired the jeans with a white ribbed tank, a fun sneaker and my go-to sun hat. It’s about as simplified as it gets… white jeans… white tank! But somehow, I felt so put together in this simple look.

I wanted to take the same pair of white jeans and style them for a completely different climate…Chicago. Or as we have been calling it this last week, Chiberia. For the winter look, I paired the jeans with a sleek brown bootie, chunky cardigan and cozy teddy coat. I swapped out the straw hat for a wool one to help keep warm! Monochromatic layers are so chic, and winter white in my opinion is always elegant.

White jeans are something you can even dress up! Throw on a great heel and a cropped sweater or flowy silk blouse, toss your hair in a high bun and add some fun earrings for the perfect GNO or date night look! The options are really endless!

I think a lot of times we get hung up on a piece we love because we think it’s only meant for a specific time of year or a specific place. If you ask me, it’s all about how you style something! Get creative when putting an outfit together, have fun and don’t think that just because “white jeans are meant for summer” that means you absolutely can’t wear them in the winter! Fashion has no rules! Make the rules yourself! All that really matters is that you feel good in what you’re wearing.
