Vacation Dressing
I've been back back in Chicago for 3 days now. It feels good to be home, but I am of course sad vacation is over. Also, I have immediately fallen back into my daily uniform... There’s something about dressing for vacation that pushes me out of my black and white comfort zone in the best way possible. You guys, in Italy I wore red, yellow, stripes, bold earrings and even THIS coral patterned top. You know how simply I dress so for me, that’s going pretty wild! And you know what? I loved it! I think the idea of being in a new place where no one knows me makes me a little more comfortable to be daring and have a little fun with my wardrobe! I really think I need to start doing this at home too…
THIS was one of my favorite tops I wore in Italy. It’s by Harlowe & Graham and is under $30!!! The shape is so different and I love the ruffled hem at the top. I wore it to our final dinner on our trip while we were in Sorrento (where I of course ate pasta… Oh! and we ordered a pizza for an appetizer... not sorry). The top was perfect for a hot night and a fun girls dinner! For me it was such a fun look to end the trip on. I dressed it down with jean shorts and sandals but wanted the look to stay sleek so I tucked in the billowy blouse to keep some shape, put my hair in a bun and wore some super fun tassel earrings to complete the outfit. Side note- this top didn’t wrinkle in my suitcase at all! I unpacked it and it was ready to wear! Now that deserves an award!
