My Favorite Summer Trends

One thing I always look forward to with the change of seasons is changing up outfits (of course)! With Summer quickly approaching, I've been thinking about the trends and pieces I can't wait to wear all season long. There's a few trends I can't get enough of recently and I wanted to share some of my favorites! First, let me mention that a good pair of high waisted denim shorts is always my go-to in the warmer months. You guys know I'm a jeans girl and that doesn't change in summertime! Below are 4 of my favorite Summer trends with shop-able affordable pieces for each trend!

1. Bold Sleeves

One of my favorite trends for this coming season is a bold sleeve! It's such a simple way to create a fun look that's something a little more than just shorts and a t-shirt! Ruffles, bell sleeves and  bows are just a few of my favorites! Shop the trend HERE:

2. Gingham

As you know, I rarely wear patterns. It's not because I don't like them it's just because I'm not used to seeing myself in them. I've been absolutely loving gingham because it's a subtle way to incorporate pattern into your life. Tops, dresses, pants, shorts, skirts... you name it, I want it in gingham. HA! 3. Panama Hats

A panama hat is definitely going to be a Summer staple for me! It works with every casual look from the beach to brunch, is the perfect fix for a bad hair day and it protects that gorgeous face of yours from the sun! 

4. Nail Art

Finally, a trend I'm all over right now is nail art! It's such a fun way to funk about any look every day! I recently went to Jewels-A Nail Box in Lakeview for my first attempt at nail art this Summer. Nikki killed the look I was going for and I have never gotten so many compliments on something! Can't wait to keep my nails fun this Summer!
