Two Holiday Looks That Are Anything But Ordinary!
This time of year is so much fun. Really, who doesn't love the Holidays? Family, friends, food and fun parties! I swear, the Holiday excitement never subsides. One of my favorite parts of the Holiday season? Putting together outfits, of course! But this year I started thinking.... How many LBD's can I possibly wear? Or, how many different ways can I recreate my favorite one? I decided, it's time to switch it up! (But don't worry! I still have one very classic Holiday look coming to the blog next week!)
So, I went on a hunt to find pieces that were fun and festive yet anything but ordinary! I decided to steer away from dresses and into separates. I figured if I could find great tops, I could pair them with bottoms I already owned. That's exactly what I did! I wanted to incorporate some drama without making them over the top.
The first thing I found was THIS super fun, pale pink sequined top (which went on sale by the way)!!! You very well know I'm not one for pink (or any color, really- I'm working on that) but this shade of pink seemed just right. The color made it feminine and the sequins + the shape + the ruffle detail made it dressy and edge at the same time. Once I put it on and it was soft and comfortable, I was totally sold. I decided to dress it down with my current favorite pair of jeans by GRLFRND and a classic black pump. Can't wait to rock this look to a Holiday party this season!
For the second look I went with THIS satin ruffle bomber jacket... can you say obsessed!? Because that's exactly my feeling about this jacket! I pulled my hair back to give full attention to the jacket and paired it with the absolute best pair of faux leather leggings known to man (side note: I've had these leggings for 6 years and they're still in perfect condition. Get yours HERE). This jacket looks and feels so luxe which is part of what sold me. The ruffle is dramatic yet beautiful and not too bold. The jacket looks so expensive but guess what!? It's under $100! I've already worn this jacket once and can't wait to wear it again this Holiday season! Scroll down to shop the look!
