Introducing Maggie Modena Handbags
I am so excited to be a part of this weekend's Maggie Modena Handbag launch. Her bags bring us the perfect combination of functionality, great design and style. Maggie designed three different styles of bags. The backpack, the convertible mini backpack/cross body and the convertible belt bag/wristlet wallet (see all below). For this first season Maggie designed most of the prints herself. She works with mixed mediums such as painting, drawing and photographs and manipulates in photoshop. Her color schemes vary from playful and bright to bold and dark. "Being loud is liberating and that is exactly what Modena handbags are meant to be."
It's been amazing to watch Maggie create this first product line. She touches every piece to make sure they are constructed to perfection. Not only are her designs gorgeous to look at, but each bag also has a solid function. Laptop pockets, convertible bags, heavy duty zippers. These handbags can carry whatever you need. Each bag is made with a linen-cotton blend canvas and trimmed with leather tanned in Milwaukee, WI. Cut in Madison and sewn in Milwaukee, all of the materials are sourced in the US!
It was so much fun seeing these bags in person (FINALLY) and shooting with Maggie. I can't wait for you all to be able to see them in person too! The bags will be available at Iona in Madison starting this Saturday, the 14th!
