Living Room Details!

Well, almost one year after moving into our home and I think our living space is finished and man, do we love it! If you scroll to the end of this post, you can find every item with clickable photos to make it super easy to find everything!

This space is long and narrow so figuring out the best way to utilize the space wasn’t the easiest of tasks. We opted to create a front sitting area, a music room, if you will! The Hattie sideboard is the focal piece of this front room. We wanted a piece that grounded the space and we could also store and display our records in, this piece is SO perfect for that. With plenty of space for our music library inside and the record player on top, this is the piece that welcomes you into our home. The large abstract piece above the Hattie is a favorite as well.

We wanted to have a super cozy couch and rug for the living room. We love the Talullah rug, it gives nods to Morocco and adds a bit of interest without being an overwhelming pattern. Our couch is the Kipton Wide Arm sectional in a custom figuration (did you know that almost all of Arhaus’ upholstered pieces can be totally customized? Reach out to an Arhaus designer to learn more)! I really didn’t want a traditional TV console so what we chose is actually another sideboard, often used in kitchens but I LOVE it under the TV. We actually drilled a hole in the back to make it a media console because it’s not intended to be. The craftsmanship on the Conrad sideboard is so beautiful, it feels antique and has so much charater.

Pretty sure the pups don’t care so much about the craftsmanship and character of the pieces we chose but they sure do care about the coziness. The living rug is super pet friendly, the boys love napping here. I’m sure our Kipton would be their chosen spot in the living room although we are TRYING to not let them on this one. Moose actually wanted to make one of the leather swivels in the front room his nap/neighborhood watch spot so we had to nip that in the bud pretty fast!! The textures we incorporated throughout this room really help make it feel so cozy. I love the baseball mitt like leather we did on the swivel chairs as well as the sheepskin we chose for the ottoman. There truly are hundreds of incredible options for fabric choices when working with Arhaus- their design team really helped us to hone in on the best options and the final result is chef’s kiss.

We truly are so thrilled with how this space came together. It feels cozy, homey and cohesive. It’s beautiful yet livable and works so well for our lifestyle. Now, who’s coming over for movie night?
