Winter Wishlist
Well… January 2021 and it seems we’re still not going anywhere for a while! I'm pretty excited because my living room is finally being pulled together (details soon) and that feels like a big win. Given that time at home will be plentiful for a while longer, my wish lists look a little bit different than usual. Lots of comfies, self care items, home decor and things to pass the time at home. This is my Winter wish list to get us through what is (hopefully) our last Covid Winter. Happy Winter, Ya’ll!

All the self care items!
Ample free time and time at home should mean more self care time. It’s more important now than ever to take care of our bodies and minds. The brand, Skin Gym makes some amazing self care items. Their dry brush is perfect (hello smooth skin + lymphatic drainage- more about dry brushing IN THIS POST). I also just bought their High Frequency Wand which kills bacteria under the skin and is great to prevent future breakouts! Mascne be GONE!
2. The chic cozies to go from in the house to out to the grocery store
I’ve been a sucker for sherpa, three quarter zips and waffle. THIS quarter zip looks like the golden ticket. Anything that can be comfy in the house and cute at my big outings to Trader Joes definitely makes my wish list. A couple of my favorite brands for chic cozies are: DONNI , LNA & Chaser !
3. Bougie Laundry Detergent
I think we can file this under the list of self care… but on my Winter wish list is The Laundress laundry detergent. I haven’t tried it yet BUT people I trust live and die by this stuff. Anything to make my comfy clothes even comfier and my sheets feel like clouds sounds good to me. They make a bunch of different products for different laundry needs so check them out HERE.
4. Sweatshirt galore
For a while, I was thinking- enough with the sweatshirts, Ali. But I’ve completely changed my mind. It’s all I’m wearing these days so IF i decide to shop, I may as well buy things I’m going to get good use of, RIGHT!? I’ve been loving finding sweatshirts that make a statement. THIS ONE is definitely on my wish list. It’s from THIS BRAND that makes some of the very coolest graphic sweatshirts out there. So far, I have “vote” sweatshirts, sweatshirts repping my city, a “rain kindess” one and one that says “don’t give up on your dreams”. Time to keep adding to the collection.
5. Pajama sets
I’m someone who has always slept in old t shirts and undies. But given that I’m not home all the time and don’t have opportunities to get dressed up (something that’s always helped me build confidence) and go places… putting on old t-shirts isn’t exactly the most uplifting of things. That’s why some cute, matching PJ sets are on my Winter wish list. It’ll make me feel good and put together even if I’m just getting in bed. THIS PJ SET is one of my favorites. Honeydew Intimates has some great PJ sets that are super comfy and more affordable… a few luxe wishlist PJ brands are Morgan Lane & Sleeper.
6. Activewear forever
I’m kind of on the same page as sweatshirts with this one…. I’m in activewear every day. Not only that, but wearing active pieces that I feel good in motiviate me to get moving which is all around a great thing. THIS ACTIVEWEAR EDIT is so good and filled with some epic pieces. I’m always on the lookout for chic, comfortable pieces that can be worn as activewear and as athleisure.
7. Game on, baby!
One thing that I’ve never really had or collected are fun games for home! Now that I’m in constant search of fun things to do at home with my family, I’m always looking for great puzzles (LOVE THIS BRAND) or games to play. I recently found THIS BRAND that makes all of the classic games we love and they look AMAZING. Perfect adornments for the coffee or dining room table!
8. Quilted Everything
You caught me. I’m still looking at SOME clothing and accessories…. but practical things, ya’ll! Jackets, bags etc. One the trends I’m loving is pieces that are quilted. THIS BRAND makes so many amazing quilted pieces of all sorts.
9. Come on baby light my fire! aka my candles.
I’ve always been someone who loves to have a candle lit when I’m home. Makes things feel extra cozy, especially in the Winter. My current candle obsession is the brand Boy Smells! They look good, smell DAMN good and do good.
10. Boot up!
Living in Chicago with a dog means I am outside every day, many times a day, whether I want to be or not. Boots are extremely necessary. They are also the place where I can continue to share my personal style even if it’s just on a dog walk. I’m currently obsessed with the boots one of my favorite brands, Ganni makes. I am specifically obsessed with THIS PAIR. The chunkier the better, I guess?
